Telluride Outfitters

Guided Outdoor Activities

As Telluride's oldest and most experienced snowmobiling touring company, Telluride Outfitters can provide an exciting and fun break from skiing in the winter.  The company provides the following tours:

The Alta Lakes Ghost Town Tours are scenic and historical, half-day tours (morning, afternoon or moonlight) for the beginner-intermediate rider. The tours consist of 18-20 miles of groomed trail with a free-ride (powder and hill climbs) in a high meadow. On the way we visit the old ghost town of Alta with narration about the cultural history by our guides. The tour also hits some of the high basins. ($169/single, $229/double).

The Barlow Creek Backcountry Tours are full-day tours for the intermediate to advanced rider. The terrain consists of un-groomed trails and lots of open meadows and hill climbs. Lunch is included in the price. We only book single snowmobiles for this tour due to the potentially deeper snow. This is a guide favorite. ($329/single)

The Dunton Hot Springs Tours are full-day tours for the beginner to intermediate rider. Half way through the tour, we visit Dunton Hot Springs for a gourmet lunch (set up by the lodge at Dunton) and a soak indoors or outdoors at the hot springs. This tour is a mix of adventure and relaxation. ($329/single, $379/double + $120 charge by Dunton for lunch and soak).

In the summer, the company offers ATV adventures, fly fishing, rafting, and mountain biking.
