Snowshoeing in Telluride

Explore the mountains of Telluride on snowshoes! Snowshoeing is the perfect day-off activity from skiing or snowboarding while still experiencing the region's fantastic scenery during your Telluride ski vacation.

If you are looking for a guided tour, the San Juan Outdoor School offers a variety of tours, from half-and full-day tours to animal tracking snowshoe tours. With the guidance of expert instructors and naturalists, participants in these programs gain an appreciation for the rich natural and cultural history of the majestic San Juan mountain range.

The Telluride Ski Resort also offers both group and private snowshoe tours. Knowledgeable guides serve snacks along the way and share information about Telluride's history, flora and fauna, and geology. Group tours leave every day from Eco Adventures at 10am.  A three-hour tour is $50 and includes a lift ticket, snack, and snowshoe rental.  Private tours are available with 48-hour advance notice.

If you prefer to explore on your own, rentals are available at Bootdoctors & Paragon Outdoors
