Telluride Wranglers is a family owned and operated ranch located on Wilson Mesa in Telluride. The ranch, which has been in operation since the family homesteaded in 1882, offers sleigh rides, pack trips, wagon rides, hunting trips, and more. They can even tailor any adventure to you!
Telluride Wranglers is permitted by USFS and have a vast network of trails from Lone Cone outside of Norwood to Lizard Head Pass. They offer one hour, two hour, half day, and full day trail rides for all skill levels. They can go to high alpine lakes, pine and aspen forests, and ride up to 12,000 ft! Telluride Wranglers also offer Chuck Wagon Dinner Rides; take a wagon ride to a hilltop destination and enjoy a catered lunch or dinner while you bask in the views of the San Juans overlooking Woods Lake. Looking for something more? They offer tailored multi-day pack trips. Ride for two, three or four days, learn basic horsemanship, camp cowboy style or stay in a network of cabins such as the Schmid Family Homestead, built in 1882, off the grid and deep at the base of Mount Wilson, or end your trip at Dunton Hot Springs, and finish in luxury! Weather permitting, Telluride Wranglers offer trail rides, but sleigh rides are where the true winter experience comes in to play! Take an afternoon sleigh ride at the historic Schmid Family Ranch. Pet the sheep and calves, feed the horses and enjoy complimentary treats and hot drinks! Want more? Have a catered lunch or dinner sleigh ride with all the meals prepared by their private chef. All meat is provided by the ranch, bringing the farm to table in a full local circle.
