Building a Workshop: A Photography Workshop with Sarah Schwab

A good portrait captures more than just the image of a subject, it also captures their character, mood and personality. Portrait photography is an excellent skill to cultivate for anyone with a camera – whether you want to build your own creative practice or simply take better photos of your family. In this class, local photographer Sarah Schwab will teach students how to make honest, intimate photographs and establish a foundation for multiple styles of portraits. She will also touch on post-processing methods and how to confidently organize imagery. Students should bring: a DSLR Camera a Laptop with Lightroom software (free trial software downloads are available online here: https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/free-trial-download.html) at least one portable hardrive (ideally 2 if you want to practice archival workflow) warm layers for outdoor shooting
