The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is a true southwest Colorado experience. These trains once carried $300 million in gold and silver ore between Silverton and Durango. The train track winds through some of the West's most dramatic country with trestles spanning the Animas Canyon and a climb over Molas Pass. Daily tours leave from Durango and Silverton. The train offers special programs such as the "Polar Express" for kids of all ages during the holiday season.
