A Perfect Day at the Telluride Ski Resort

We get it - the Telluride Ski Resort has a lot to do. With 148 trails, 17 lifts and 7 on-mountain restaurants, it's literally impossible to do it all in one day. Lucky for you, we've compiled a dream day on the mountain - complete with corduroy, food, drinks, views and more.

To Start the Day

Kick off your day on the mountain with some classic corduroy runs off of Lift #4. As the hub of the Mountain Village ski runs, Lift #4 features plenty of daily groomed runs like Misty Maiden, which is a staple at the Telluride Ski Resort. Hang out on the East side of the resort for the remainder of the morning.

For Lunch

With seven restaurants to choose from, there's no shortage of food or price points for anyone skiing the mountain. Since the latter half of the day will be spent in the soft snow off of Lift #12 and #14, our ideal stop for lunch is en route at Bon Vivant. The outdoor restaurant provides plenty of sunshine, stellar views and tasty French cuisine.

The Soft Stuff

After chowing down on some french onion soup and throwing back a few brews, it's time to enjoy the afternoon's soft snow. From Bon Vivant, head to the Prospect Bowl, where there will be plenty of amazing trails right off Lift #12. Runs range from green all the way to double-black diamond, so there's something for everyone. A few beloved favorites to hit in the afternoon include Little Maude and Marmot, which often have few crowds.

A Scenic Ending

There's no better way to end your day on the mountain than with sweeping views from See Forever. From Prospect Bowl, take Lift #14 up to the top of the mountain, where you will be surrounded by all of Telluride's peaks. Even if you're not a photo person, this is one spot you absolutely have to stop and take a photo. While taking See Forever (blue run) is a classic, those itching for a bit more excitement can stop for a few runs in the Revelation Bowl before heading down See Forever.

Après Ski

No ski day is complete without après ski and there's no better place than Gorrono Ranch. Grab a margarita or cocktail at the bar and sit fireside while listening to live music at Telluride's famous beach. This is one seriously great way to end your day at the Telluride Ski Resort.
