Our Live Like a Local campaign is a good source of information about local ordinances and best practices designed to protect our quality of life and natural environment, including:

• Save the Earth: Reduce, reuse and recycle. Do not use single-use plastics. 
• Slow the Flow, save H20: Please conserve water during your visit. 
• Be Bear Aware: Store trash, recycling and compost in bear-proof containers. 
• Pick up the Poop: Please pick-up after your pet. Waste bags are availalble at convenient locations throughout Telluride & Mountain Village. 
• Leave No Trace: Stay on designated trails, dispose of waste properly, respect wildlife and be considerate of others while out exploring. 
• Take a Free Ride: Every ride on our free gondola system reduces a car-trip between our two communities. 
• Flip the Switch: Conserve energy by turning off lights and TV, and adjusting the thermostat when you leave for the day.
