Village Film Nights
The Telluride Film Festival and Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association are proud to announce the first show of the 2026 Village Film Nights series with a very special presentation of Project Hail Mary, launching a new season of shared cinematic experiences in Mountain Village.
Kicking off the 2026 series, this highly anticipated screening brings audiences together for an early look at one of the year’s most exciting new films. Based on the bestselling novel by Andy Weir, Project Hail Mary tells the story of a lone astronaut tasked with saving humanity, awakening far from Earth with no memory and an impossible mission ahead.
Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and starring Ryan Gosling, the film has already drawn strong critical attention.
Presented in partnership with the Telluride Film Festival, the Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association, and the Town of Mountain Village, Village Film Nights continues its mission of bringing people together around the big screen through exceptional cinema. As the opening night of the 2026 season, this special event carries forward the cherished local tradition of communal filmgoing while the Nugget Theater undergoes its transformation into a year-round venue for cinema, education, and public programming.
The screening will take place at the Telluride Conference Center, offering audiences a high-quality presentation and a festive atmosphere to celebrate the start of the new season. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the film beginning at 7:00 PM. Concessions - including snacks, soft drinks, and a full bar - will be available. Seating is general admission, first come, first served.
All Village Film Nights selections are curated by the Telluride Film Festival.
