The Color of Summer Exhibit Opening

The vivid blue of alpine skies, the golden glow of late evening light, the green of mountain meadows, the red of wildflowers, the silver of rushing water, or the countless shades that evoke memories of warmth, freedom, celebration, and place. The Color of Summer invites artists to select a single color (and its hues) that, for them, best defines the season. This color may be inspired by the natural landscape, personal memories, cultural traditions, emotional associations, or entirely unexpected interpretations. Through painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, mixed media, and beyond, artists are encouraged to explore the many ways color shapes our experience of summer. The exhibition will be installed by color, creating a visual journey through the gallery where individual works become part of a larger collective spectrum. By grouping artwork according to the artist's chosen hue, The Color of Summer highlights both the personal and universal relationships we have with color and seasonality. This exhibit will run through October 25, 2026.
