Summer Spectacular: The Music Man

SAF’s YPT Summer Spectacular program starts on a Monday, and by Friday, these summer campers have learned an entire musical! Complete with music, lights and costumes, our young thespians want to share the culmination of a week’s fun & hard work! Please join us for FREE performances at 2 & 4pm. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the show.

The Music Man is a classic American musical comedy set in a small Iowa town in 1912, where fast-talking con man Harold Hill arrives posing as a boys’ band organizer and music teacher. Planning to swindle the townspeople out of money for instruments and uniforms before skipping town, Harold instead finds himself unexpectedly transformed by the community’s trust and by his growing feelings for the town librarian, Marian Paroo. Filled with lively songs, humor, romance, and heartwarming themes about community, imagination, and redemption, The Music Man remains one of the most beloved musicals in theater history.
