Safety Meeting is a psychedelic fusion band rooted in the vibrant music scene of Durango, Colorado. Blending elements of jazz, jam, funk, and R&B with the rich vocal harmonies of folk, the group crafts a sound that is both expansive and deeply musical. The core lineup includes Chuck Hank (High Country Hustle) on bass, whose broad stylistic range anchors the band’s grooves; Alec Mayes (Desert Child) on drums, known for his rhythmic nuance and precision; and Eli Emmitt (Eli Emmitt Band) on guitar, whose visceral playing adds an expressive edge to the ensemble.
