T’is (almost) the season. Ski season that is—the ski area opens for Donation Day on Dec. 1 and official opening day on Dec. 2. Because this is a time of year for reflection and giving thanks, we felt it very appropriate to give a shout out to William “Senior” Mahoney. Without Senior Mahoney, the Telluride Ski Resort would not be what it is today.  Mahoney is the thread that runs through this town’s mining heritage and into the manifestation of a world-class ski resort.
