TASP Expands Access with New Van
Telluride Adaptive Sports Program (TASP) has a new addition to its fleet: a fully accessible Ford Transit van designed to break down transportation barriers and get even more athletes into the mountains this summer.
Thanks to generous donations from TASP's 2024 and 2025 fundraising campaigns, and the support of their incredible donor community, TASP has purchased and customized a new van through United Access, a leader in mobility solutions. Outfitted with dual wheelchair ramps and a modular-designed interior that adapts to a wide range of mobility and equipment needs, this vehicle opens the door—literally and figuratively—for expanded access to the San Juan Mountains and beyond.
This new van will hit the road for Women Outdoors Week, or "WOW", in Moab. This is TASP’s women’s-only camp running May 19–22, 2025. The program brings together civilian and veteran women with disabilities for an empowering and adventurous weekend in the desert. Participants will camp at the accessible Horsethief Campground near Moab, Utah, and enjoy mountain biking and rock climbing.
