Best Places to Stargaze on the Western Slope

Colorado is home to 13 certified International Dark Sky Parks and eight communities, offering some of the best stargazing opportunities in the world.

In our corner of the Western Slope, you can explore Norwood, which is just down the road and loctaed on a 7,000-foot mesa, or venture even further to Nucla and Naturita, which are also certified International Dark Sky Towns. You can also venture North to Ridgway, a certified town, or spend an evening at the Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area or Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park in Montrose. 

The options for stargazing on the Western Slope are endless - Get out and enjoy the view!
