Alta Lakes Road, or National Forest System Road 632, is open as of August 20, 2025 after road repairs were made this summer. The road is now open for public use and recreation, although camping is still not permitted as the Forest Service completes improvements on the camp sites. Day use of the camping areas is permitted.
