Eco Adventure Summer

The Telluride Adventure Center offers an abundant selection of daily programs and winter activities for all ages. Space is limited so advance reservations are recommended! The Adventure Center is located adjacent to the Ski & Snowboard School in Mountain Village.

Snowshoe Tours

Join one of the Adventure Center's legendary guide staff who will detail the local environments’ flora, fauna and provide exclusive knowledge about the captivating natural world. Tours are designed to accommodate all ability levels. The snowshoe tours are a wonderful way to take a break from the slopes and see the mountain from a perspective rarely experienced on the slopes. The tours take place (but DO NOT MEET) at the top of chair 10. Click here for more information or to register for a tour.

Snowbiking

A fun, new way for people to explore the slopes while in a relaxed seated position! If it is your first time, the adventure center will lead you on a 2-hour certification course to translate your skills from skiing, snowboarding, or biking to familiarize you with how to ride a snowbike. The snowbike ultimately takes most of the work away from your lower body and allows you to turn and stop with minimal upper body movements. Skills taught and assessed include turning, stopping, maintaining control, loading and unloading the lift, as well as a refresher of the Colorado Skier responsibility code. Once certified, you are able to continue riding the bike for the remainder of the day, and then may rent the bike without an instructor any day thereafter for years to come. Click here for more information or to register.

Snow Camp

The Telluride Adventure Center's kids snow camp operates as a fun yet educational alternative to ski school. They keep the children active and engaged with fun activities centered on environmentally educational programs. All camps include both indoor crafts and outdoor fun! Programs and activities include, but are not limited to: building snow shelters during winter wilderness survival, sledding in town park or ice skating after learning about snow science, snowshoeing and tracking animals after learning about their adaptations, and much more. Click here for more information or to register for Snow Camp.
