Telluride Theatre presents Burlesque at Sheridan Opera House
March 28-31, 2018 8:00 pm

Telluride Theatre first resurrected the concept of burlesque seven years ago, empowering a class of eleven women as they learned to shimmy, strut, strip and tease on stage. The fundraiser was an instant success, and every year the tradition repeats with a new class. "It has become a celebration of the feminine, a way for women in town to bond, have fun, and explore a different side of themselves," says director Sasha Sullivan.

Burlesque now includes three nights of performances: Cheap Thrills (March 29) is the culmination of the class, with each student showcasing their work, the character and piece they've created (as well as the pasties they made); Hollywood Burlesque features the advanced veteran performers from the previous classes, and pays homage to the silver screen and Hollywood walk of fame. Hollywood Burlesque is a polished, sexy, and fun show that has been choreographed.

All the shows sell out quickly, so get your tickets now. The shows take place at Sheridan Opera House, and Cheap Thrills tickets are $30 for general admission, $40 for reserved seating, and $75 for VIP tables. Hollywood Burlesque is $40 for general admission, $50 for reserved seating, and $125 for VIP tables.
