Top 6 Après Ski Spots in Telluride

After a day of shredding there is nothing better than kicking up your ski boots, resting those tired legs, and grabbing a delectable beverage. There are tons of spots in Telluride that offer Après Ski, but here are a few of the local favorites:

On Mountain

Margarita at Gorrono Ranch

Kick back and enjoy a cocktail at Gorrono Ranch, located on the Misty Maiden run off Chair 4. Grab one of their famous margaritas then head out to the snow deck (or the beach as locals call it). Make yourself at home in a colorful lawn chair while daily music plays in the background. Sip, soak up the rays and bask in the epic Mt. Wilson view.

Champagne at Bon Vivant

Can it get any better than French cuisine, al fresco dining, and a glass of bubbly? Take a break from skiing with a glass of champagne at Bon Vivant. Perched at 11,000ft, the restaurant offers panoramic views of Palmyra and the Wilson range. Make sure you grab a bite while you are there. Their French onion soup is a showstopper.

Town of Telluride

Flatliner at The New Sheridan Chop House

The Flatliner is the unofficial cocktail of Telluride. Served as a martini, this cocktail drink is a mix of vodka, Baileys, Kahlua, and espresso. Be careful, it’s stronger than it tastes. One of these is all you need to pick yourself back up after a long day skiing. The New Sheridan Chop House serves the best Flatliner in town, but you can find them in most bars.

Beer at Oak

$2 Schlitz. Do we need to say more? Located at the base of the Gondola you can ski down or walk up! Grab a beer, split some sweet potato fries and sit on their patio. This local watering hole is the perfect place to people watch and reflect on your epic ski day.

Mountain Village

Bloody Mary at Tomboy Tavern

With its prime slope side location at the base of 4, Tomboy Tavern is the perfect spot to Après. Park yourself in the beer garden and grab their famous Bloody Mary. It’s topped with everything you’ve ever dreamed of - bacon, blue cheese stuffed olives, shrimp, and the classic celery stalk. Nothing beats a cocktail in your hand as you watch skiers come down Misty Maiden

Cocktail at Black Iron Kitchen and Bar

Outdoor firepits, live music, and handcrafted cocktails are the name of the Après game at Black Iron. Try the Snuggler, a rich hot chocolate spiked with peppermint liquor, or a Misty Maiden, an upgraded version of an Aperol spritz. If you are up for a challenge, grab some friends and order their 96oz Madeline Mule featuring Telluride vodka, lime, ginger beer, and min
