Crush The Trail or Cruise Through Town
Locals will argue that there is no better way to see Telluride in the Summer than by bike. Mountain bikers of all levels can challenge their abilities during their Telluride vacation. Bike dramatic vertical terrain or take a relaxing tour through the breathtaking scenery of the Uncompahgre National Forest. Old mining roads and single-tracks in the region climb 9,500 feet to historic sites and rugged mountain beauty.
Go for an easy cruise along the San Miguel River Trail, and check out the herd of Elk grazing on the Valley Floor. More ambitious? Try the series of trails on the North side of the Valley Floor or the web of trails on the mountain. Prospect Loop is a favorite after July 1st (the end of elk calving season).
