A Must-Do Hike When Visiting Telluride

Bear Creek Preserve Trail is one of Telluride's most popular trails. The beautiful and well-marked wooded trail ends in a magnificent set of waterfalls and an unbeatable view of the town of Telluride. Along the way admire meadows and cairns that hikers have constructed. 

Distance: 2.5 miles one way to the Falls
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Elevation Gain: 1,050 feet
Time: 1 hour and 15 minutes from Trailhead to the Falls at a leisurely pace.


Access the trail beginning at the end of South Pine Street in town. Hike or bike along the dirt road to the Bear Creek Falls. The trail also connects to the Wasatch Trail and Bridal Veil Basin
