The Town of Telluride is a National Historic District with Victorian architecture and a fun, well preserved downtown filled with great restaurants and shops. Being less than a mile from one end to the other, everything is close by and within walking distance. There is also a complimentary shuttle service called "the Galloping Goose" that loops through town all day. Mountain Village is a newer resort community with a "core" that includes restaurants, shops and the base of the ski mountain. Mountain Village is primarily comprised of vacation home and condo rentals - most along the ski slopes and on the golf course. The Mountain Village "core" is an area at the base of the ski area where the gondola connecting Telluride is located.  Both locations offer plenty of lodging options for your Telluride ski vacation.
