Galleries
There are several prominent art galleries in the Town of Telluride and they are all showcased each month during the Telluride Art Walk. The Telluride Art Walk is a reception to showcase artists working and living in Telluride and those who display their work in participating businesses. It is presented by the Telluride Council for the Arts and Humanities to promote cultural tourism. Participating artists and galleries agree to stay open “late ‘til 8” the first Thursday of every month (except May and November/December, our off-seasons). It is presented by the Telluride Council for the Arts and Humanities to promote cultural tourism. Although open all day, many establishments provide refreshments between 5 and 8 pm!
The Art Walk is a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors to become acquainted with local businesses and the art community. Refreshments are served at many of the venues. Although all venues are within walking distance of one another, the Galloping Goose provides free transportation between venues.
