Blues & Brews Telluride - September 13-15, 2013
Join us here in Telluride for a fantastic weekend of good music good beer at the 20th annual Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. The festival is based outdoors in Telluride Town Park, more of the more beautiful venues you’ll ever get to experience. Performances are held on the historic Fred Shellman Memorial Stage which sits before a breathtaking backdrop of 14,000 foot mountains. When B.B. King performed here in 2004 , he sat on this same stage, looked out at the mountains before him, and told the crowd, "Out of the 90 different countries I've been to, I've never seen anything more beautiful than what you have here."
And it’s true; the historic mining town of Telluride sits at 8,750 feet above sea level nestled in a box canyon surrounded by jagged peaks of the San Juan Mountains. It is home to some Colorado’s best skiing in the winter and a whole variety of festivals in the summer. Telluride Blues and Brews, one of the summer’s culminating events, is an exciting weekend that brings in a variety of performers for three days and three nights of all around good times.

The Blues and Brews festival is three days and three nights long. The majority of this year’s lineup has been announced and is shaping up to be awesome. Some of the performers include The Black Crowes, Jim James and Melissa Etheridge. Check out the Lineup page for more details!
During the day all of the shows are held at Town Park, located on the east end of Main Street. On Saturday, September 14th from Noon-3:00 P, The Grand Tasting will be held on the festival grounds with more than 50 microbreweries represented. You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity for sampling over 150 different beers while enjoying great live music. And no need to worry about location, as everything is just a short walk away here in town. The festival venue is only a few blocks from restaurants, bars, and great places to stay. There is also a free festival shuttle and Telluride’s Galloping Goose Shuttle service to take you around town.
A bit after the sun goes down, the action moves up to venues throughout the town of Telluride and Mountain Village for some good late night jamming. All of the events in Mountain Village are just a 13 minute Gondola ride away from town. You can’t go wrong here when choosing festival lodging! Check out the Passes page for more details on different ticket options, as well as volunteer options!
