Quality whitewater rafting trips are available throughout the summer on our local rivers in the Telluride and Ridgway area. Spring run-off from higher altitudes in the Colorado Rockies brings the rivers alive with excitement throughout the summer while offering rafters a chance to discover picturesque canyons, lush riparian banks, abundant wildlife and challenging class II - IV rapids.
Telluride Reservations Center and Telluride.com work with some of the area's best outfitters to help you book your rafting trip. Trips vary from ½-day to multi-day adventures for all ages and level of excitement! The rafting season in the Telluride/Montrose region goes from mid-May to late September! After a big day of rafting, you have worked up an appetite and be ready to try one of our favorite Telluride restaurants .

- 2-Hour Short ‘n' Sweet Rafting - priced from $50/person - This guided rafting tour is family oriented, provides easy access and has great scenery! Suitable for any age and experience level.
- Full-Day Rafting Dolores river - priced from $175/person - This guided day trip starts at Bradfield Bridge and ends at Slickrock, CO. This section is categorized by non-stop class II and II+ whitewater rapids, making it a wonderful day trip.
- Half-Day Rafting San Miguel river - priced from $80/person - Splashy, fast and fun, the San Miguel offers terrific rafting for guests of any experience level.

Kayaking is another perfect activity to do with your family or friends during your stay in Telluride . Most of the students of Telluride Kayak School come to us with little or no experience. Whitewater Kayaking is an incredible way to experience the river and a great alternative if you have already gone rafting.
