Kids' Night Out
This exciting kids-only activity is also organized by Telluride Ski Resort and is available 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) during the winter season. Kids can join their favorite ski instructors in outdoor activities as well as arts and crafts, movies, video games and dinner. The cost is $75/child for the entire evening. The Best Ice Cream
The Sweet Life in Telluride and Mountain Village offers the best ice cream and candy in town! Located on Main Street (sunny side) in Telluride and at Heritage Plaza in Mountain Village, the Sweet Life offers not only candy and ice cream, but the Telluride location also has great hamburgers served in a 50's style parlor.

Peepers Kids' Club at Wilkinson Library
Wilkinson Public Library in Telluride offers both fun kids-oriented activities and storytimes, ranging from toddler to pre-school. For more information on scheduled activities, please contact the library at 970.728.4519.

This year Ah Haa School for the Arts will enter their nineteenth year of serving the Telluride region. Ah Haa's overriding goal is to nurture the creative spirit in everyone. As Telluride's community continues to grow, Ah Haa has met this challenge and commitment to the arts through the acquisition of the historic depot as their new home. With the expansion of Ah Haa's educational programming, this year Ah Haa will offer over 245 children and adult workshops (including 13 national known visiting artists), 10 annual exhibitions and five family art days.

Ah Haa Kid's Summer Camps: 970-728-3886
Ah Haa's overriding goal is to nurture the creative spirit in everyone. Why not nurture and encourage that creativity with an Ah Haa Summer Art Camp or a Fabulous Friday class. Young artists 4-14 will play, explore, and discover different mediums ranging from sculpture and clay to acrylic painting and jewelry making in a curriculum that is designed to develop confidence, creativity and proficiency. Four-day Art Camps run Monday through Thursday 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. and Fabulous Fridays take place on Fridays, 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m.

The Mountain Village Nursery is located in the new Mountain Village Activity Center. Infant care for babies two months to one year old, toddler care for children ages one to three years old from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Call for programs and activities.

The San Juan Outdoor School:  970-728-4101
The San Juan Outdoor School offers summer adventures in rock climbing, mountaineering, hiking, backpacking & camping, nature tours, women's trips, and our popular kids' camps. We provide the industry's highest quality instruction and create comfortable outdoor experiences for people of all ages and abilities. Our ultimate winter adventures include ice climbing, backcountry skiing, winter hut trips, snowshoeing as well as special  kids' snowshoeing and women's adventures.

Swimming, Town Park:  970-728-9919
The pool at Town Park is open May 25-Sept
ember 2, Tuesday-Friday 1:00-5:30pm, Saturday-Sunday 10:00am-6:00pm. Admission is $1.50 for ages 7 to 17, and free for kids under 7 accompanied by an adult. There are two sessions of American Red Cross swimming lessons, June 24-July 19 and July 22-August 16. Cost is $25.

Telluride Parks Recreation Sports Camps:  970-728-2173
The Parks & Recreation Dept. host a variety of sports camps in the summer for kids. Basketball camp is held in mid-July, baseball camp at end of July and beginning of August, and soccer camp in mid-August. Call to reserve a space for your child.

Telluride Repertory Theatre Company's:  970-728-4539
An intensive summer program for young people ages 14-17, focusing on acting, directing, playwrighting and production. Young thespians are rewarded by taking part in a full theater production.

Telluride Society for Jazz-Jazz for Kids Workshop:  970-728-7009
August: Talented and music loving youngsters, nine years and older are invited to apply for a Telluride All Star Scholarship, sponsored by the Telluride Jazz Celebration. Under the tutelage of renowned jazz educators and artists, children will learn a variety of disciplines all week, culminating in an appearance at the Jazz Festival.

The Telluride Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of year round programs for youth and adults in Town Park, at the school gyms, up in the Bear Creek Preserve, and at the Youth Center. Our staff provides assistance to the Commission for Arts and Special Events ( CASE ) and the Parks and Recreation Commission. Our department also manages and approves the applications for Town Park core area reservations, banners, street closures, and pocket park reservations.

The Voodoo Lounge Youth Teen Center:  970-728-0140
Telluride's youth center is open year-round with pool table, ping pong, crafts, food, big screen TV and VCR movies. Open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 3:00-9:00pm, Friday 3:00-6:00pm, and Saturday 4:00-7:00pm.
