2012 marked the 10th year of the Telluride Musicfest.  Whereas many of Telluride's music Festivals are large and draw up to 9,000 people in Town Park, the Telluride Musicfest is designed for participants to enjoy chamber music in private homes in Telluride. 

The theme for the 2012 Musicfest was "Vienna to Budapest" with founding ensemble Trio Solisti (Maria Bachmann, violin, Alexis Gerlach, cello, and Jon Klibonoff, piano. Guest artists included Toby Appel, violin and viola, Matt Haimovitz, cello, Hsin-Yun Huang, viola, Kathryn Lockwood, viola, and Adam Neiman, piano.
