"BARRY": A SHOW FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES!

Posted on December 6, 2011 by Sam
As an addendum to the top 5 things to do in Telluride this week (let's call it 5+ things to do), I'd like to announce the latest production from the infamous group of misfits at Squidshow Theatre!

It's "BARRY": A SHOW FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES!

If you were a kid in the 70's (as I was), you may have been lucky enough to have heard the musical meaderings of Barry Louis Polisar.  Songs like "My Brother Threw Up on my Toy Stuffed Bunny" , "My Brother Thinks He's a Banana", "Barnyard Stomp", "Homemade Band", and "I Lost My Pants", among hundreds of others.  More Recently, his song "All I Want is You", was featured in the opening credits of the critically acclaimed movie Juno (which just happened to premier here at the Telluride Film Fesitval).

"BARRY" is a play centered around Polisar's music, and a group of very imaginative children.  It stars several telented local actors, and yours truly and Ethan Hale are doing the music.

As always, the show is free, a hat will be passed.

Here are the deets:

Our favorite local group of thespians, Squishow Theatre, are putting on a play this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Historic Sheridan Opera House at 8PM.  Show is free, but a hat will be passed around.  Suggested donation of $10 is appreciated.
And yes, I am in this production.  Selling lodging isn't my only talent.  See you there!
