Remember that list we made of things to do on a rainy day?
Well, we’ve got one more idea for you: The
Telluride Brewing Co. Yesterday after a day in the office, we decided to
hop on our bikes and head down valley to the Brewery to try some tasty beers.
After all, Telluride Blues and Brews Festival is fast approaching and what
better way to get in the spirit than by supporting the most local brew of them
all?! The Brewery is located on Lawson Hill, a road just off of the Society
Turn (HWY 145 S). Take a right here, follow for ¼ of a mile, and you’ll reach
the complex where the brewery is located and all the magic happens. Stop by and
get a tour of how it all works, grab a drink, fill up a growler to go, and
enjoy that delicious beverage we like to call beer.
Telluride Brewing Company makes
everything from an American Wheat to a Brown Ale, Red Ale, IPA, Stout, Pilsner
and more. I went with the Face Down Brown-a dark, full flavored beer and boy was it good. We sat and sipped and watched the rain come down hard. Yes, we realized that were about to get soaked
on our bike ride home but luckily these Telluride folk are pretty nice-we got a
lift back to town no problem. If it is
raining and you don’t want to bike or can’t drive out to the Brewery, the
Galloping Goose (Telluride’s Free Shuttle) has got you covered- it makes a
Lawson Hill stop! The Brewery is open Mon-Sat from 12-7pm. Check it out!
