A "Roudy" good time!
by Henry C. LystadApril 17, 2008 - 5:32pm.
It was an early Sunday morning and a group of six of us drove from the Town of Telluride to Norwood. We turned onto CO 4325 and drove all the way to the end where we discovered the barn of our tour guide, the "one and only", Roudy. All of us piled out of our car, walked over to the barn where we were introduced to Ned and Clyde; the horses that were going to be pulling our bobsled that morning. The bobsled was bright red and it has room enough for 6-8 adults. Blankets were nicely folded and set in the sled just in case we caught the chill in the air. This particular day was beautiful! Bright Colorado sunshine, white snow as far as your eye can see, set against the backdrop of the majestic Wilson Range. It was truly picture perfect! After our hour long ride, we stepped back into the barn and enjoyed some hot chocolate. It made the experience complete!

Roudy doesn't only give winter sleigh rides, he gives horseback tours, day rides through the historic ghost town of Alta or Bill Creek Basin, overnight trips and trail rides. Be sure to call and make a reservation to set your memorable experience.
