Early November Tomboy Road Hike

by Telluride
December 13, 2009 - 9:52pm.

With the leaves gone and the snow across the valley deep on the ski mountain, Cindy and I took off for a quick after-school hike up Tomboy Road, not knowing what to expect beneath our feet.  To our surprise, the road conditions were excellent, save for a few slick patches of lingering ice.  Within minutes, we both found ourselves shedding a layer or two, and quickly climbed above the town for some outstanding vistas.  With temperatures epected to peak near 60 degrees by midweek, there looks to be a few more of these pleasant hikes left!
