Hope Lake Hike

Posted on July 28, 2011 by Hart
One of our absolute favorite hikes in the Telluride region is just 15 minutes down the road near Ophir, Colorado. Hope Lake is perfect for a lot of reasons. The hike is fairly easy, family friendly, pet friendly and you get to see mountains, wildflowers, snow-capped peaks and a beautiful lake. What else can you ask for? Take a left into Trout Lake and follow the road until you see Hope Lake Road on your left. Then drive 15-20 minutes up the road to the trailhead (high clearance vehicle needed). This is a MUST DO hike! Check it out:

Random Thoughts From Telluride

I went to the KOTO Doo-Dah concert this past Saturday, and while watching the Rose Hill Drive set (Which was all sorts of AWESOME by the way!), I couldn't help but feel this odd sense of familiarity.  I couldn't put my finger on it.

Then it struck me!

The bass player looks exactly like Joshua Jackson!  You know, Pacey from Dawson's Creek!?

Not that I really ever *ahem* watched that show, but it was indeed surreal.  I kept expecting James VanDerBeek and Katie Holmes to trot out and start playing bongos or something.

Anyway, this is all a non-sequitur.  The band absolutely rocked our faces off, and I highly recommend seeing them if they play near you, Joshua Jackson and all........
