Town Park Camping information - (970) 728-2173
(open mid May to October)

Town Park is the popular spot for a picnic lunch and some time in the sun. Children will enjoy the playgrounds, fishing ponds, and the swimming pool. Tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, ball fields, a skateboard ramp and festival grounds are free to visitors. The San Miguel River Trail starts here, so a short hike after lunch is in order. Broomball, ice skating, sledding, and cross country skiing are some of the winter actvities in Town Park.

Campers can call 1-866-515-6166 or visit www.tellurideblues.com the dates for the camping are Thursday, September 19th thru Monday, September 21st.

Please note:  Camping during Film Festival is run normally, first come, first serve. 

Please note: For information on camping in Town Park during Telluride Jazz Festival, June 4-7, 2009 (970-728-7009) or KOTO Doo Dah,  date varies per year, usually in July, (970-728-8100), please contact each festival organizer directly - the camp site is not managed by the Telluride Parks & Rec department during these times.

  5. $20 per vehicle campsite & $15 per walk-in campsite
  6. Seniors, ages 59 and up, are $10 per vehicle for any site
  7. Cash or money orders only please, payable to the Town of Telluride
  8. Sorry, personal checks and credit cards will not be accepted
  9. Check out time is 11:00 a.m. daily
  10. 6 person / 1 vehicle / 2 tent limit per vehicle campsite
  11. 4 person / 1 tent limit per walk-in campsite
  12. $6 additional charge for a 2nd vehicle and/or pull behind trailer, if space at site allows
  13. 7 night maximum stay within a 30 day period
  14. Sorry, no electrical hookups or RV dump station on site
  15. RV dump station located near impound lot on South Mahoney Drive
  16. Limited campsites for RVs up to 30 feet in length
  17. Maximum length allowed for RV or car with trailer is 30 feet for both combined.
  18. Showers and toilet facilities are available on site. Showers are coin operated. $3 of quarters per five minutes of hot water.
  19. No wood campfires permitted
  20. Charcoal cooking permitted in designated grills only
  21. Dog leash law is strictly enforced, and dogs may not be left unattended.
  22. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. daily

Alta Lakes
Location: 13 mi. SE of town, or hike Boomerang Trail. Campground at 11,000 feet. Snow-free in mid-June.

Location: 65 mi. SW of Telluride near Dolores.
