Silver Lake Trail

Beautiful, Steep Trail Above the Falls

The Silver Lake Trail offers hikers a little bit of everything, from vibrant wildflower meadows to lush forest and stunning views. While the hike to Silver Lake may be short, its challenging ascent through steep and loose terrain tests the determination of adventurers. Upon reaching the lake, hikers are rewarded with the sight of a gorgeous, blue alpine lake, nestled amidst towering peaks and teeming with trout. This is the perfect place for fishing, exploring surrounding ridgelines and simply taking in the landscape. Please note that the trail is braided in a few sections, and it can be difficult to navigate. There is no signage on this trail. Be conscious of water levels, as the creek is dangerous to cross in the early summer.

Directions:

The trail begins at a creek crossing on your right, approximately a half mile above the power plant on the Bridal Veil Trail. Once you cross the creek, the trail can be followed all the way to the lake.
