The Telluride Compassion Festival has been part of the Telluride Institute’s Ideas Festivals for the past three years.   The focus is on how compassion can be nurtured and extended in the local and regional community. 

Concurrent with the Compassion Festival is the “Science of Compassion” conference, sponsored by Stanford University’s CCARE Center.  This conference brings together distinguished neuroscientists, Tibetan Buddhists, and Native American scholars to examine and discuss the nature of compassion.
