The world's first Hasidic reggae superstar is undergoing a unique transformation. 33-year-old Matisyahu lived for years in a modest apartment in Crown Heights, the Orthodox Jewish neighborhood in Brooklyn, but last winter he walked into a local Supercuts with a decade's worth of uncut beard and came out clean-shaven. Matisyahu is not only sporting a new look, he has also found a new sound. He released his fourth album, "Spark Seeker" this July with a fresh sound that mixes reggae, hip-hop and electronica layered over Middle Eastern instruments and rhythms.
